Careers

Accounts Senior

If making people happier, more relaxed, and hopeful for the future is something that you buy into, then you’d fit right in at Numbers.

Here at Numbers we are passionate about ‘MAKING LIVES BETTER’ – in fact, it’s what makes us want to get up and come into work every day. This drive means that we devote all our energy into making lives better for our clients, and everyone we meet during the day … and that includes our team!

People are the heart of our firm, so we aim to do the extra to make sure they feel valued.

Here at Numbers we call ourselves ‘team’, and we truly are. More than that, as a family owned firm we have a family feel – looking out for one another, as well as our clients, and wanting everyone to feel part of that family. This means that we ‘go the extra mile’ to make sure we support each other too.

As in families, we are all different – and we welcome individuality and creativity. We want you to feel able to be yourself, with all the unique possibilities that presents to the firm and our clients.

Dynamic and innovative minds are celebrated, and we get a buzz out of shared ideas and feedback! We might be a firm of chartered accountants, but that doesn’t mean we want to be stuck in the past. Imagine how boring that would be … and how little that would benefit our clients?
As a team, we strive for excellence in all we do, and choose to have a positive attitude every day – helping us in our quest for ‘Making Lives Better’. We work hard, but also have lots of fun along the way!

We are proud of who we are, and what we do at Numbers.

We all work hard to provide the best service that we can possibly give, and would ask that you work hard too – treating others with respect, with honesty and integrity. We also want you to catch our vision, we are immensely proud of the Numbers brand.

Many of our team started with us as apprentices, or in more junior roles, and are now managers, and one has part ownership in the firm, so there are plenty of opportunities for personal development if you’re keen to study for extra qualifications or learn other skills. Our aim is to support, coach, and provide the resources to enable our team to grow as people, and as professionals.

So, who’s our dream accounts senior?

Personal qualities and skills:

Our top person is highly motivated! They have brilliant communication skills so that they can deal with colleagues and customers in a polite and friendly way – face to face, over the phone and by email. They have excellent organisational skills – managing their own time, prioritising their workload, staying calm under pressure, and always being on time for work. They have great observational skills and listen to instruction. And they are proactive and creative!

Our ideal accounts senior has great IT skills and is confident working with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Ideally, they have experience with Sage or Xero.

This new opportunity is to support our office manager by preparing accounts ready for review, complete with draft accounts, supporting schedules, and draft tax computations. There is, however, much more potential for the right candidate.
